In 2004, the owners purchased the building that had been leased and changed the name of the office to Southwest Louisiana Veterinary Clinic, AVMC. Since that time, the existing building has been remodeled and state-of-the-art veterinarian technology has been added to insure the finest pet healthcare in this area.
Southwest Louisiana Veterinary Clinic, AVMC is a mixed animal practice. Small, large, even exotic animals are welcome. Nutritional counseling, sound basic preventative medicine and warm, compassionate service helps us to reach our goal of providing quality care for your pet.
Our patients experience safe and precise treatment provided by our ultrasound instruments, electrocardiograph, surgical tools and microchip identification. We provide our own laboratory diagnostic services, while maintaining strong relationships with referral institutions for more specialized needs.
We also offer compounding and flavoring of medications. Our vast boarding service has opened the door for the need to expand our kennel space, a plan that will be put into motion in the near future.
Doctor is in office Monday and Thursday for appointments. Our office is a satellite office and we can do vaccines, exams, treatments for small animal and can do Coggins test and vaccines for horses when the doctor is in office. Other times we are open clients can pick up medications for animals. If animal is needing x-rays or hospitalization then we get the client to bring the animal to Sulphur location.
